and persistent a determination to conquer them that nothing of self can withstand it. When it will not be long, for the Spiritual strength needed is always released when such a determination is called into play.
How may you conquer, when such a determination is aroused? In only one way, dear friend, and that is to turn to God in a simple, childlike, perfect love and trust, holding your mind to a confident knowing that He will take care of everything.
When your mind finally succumbs and no longer yields or listens to self’s pleas, you will know you have conquered, and your true work here on earth will begin, and the power of Jesus Christ will be vested in you.

SERVANTS OF GOD
THE SERVANTS of God kneel often at the foot of the Cross to watch their Saviour hanging there; and they bow in adoration before a love so great that Bethlehem and Calvary cannot measure it; for only love can hope to know LOVE.
O Giver of life and grace, Thou Who hast so loved the world; take out the thorns in me, do for Thee!
Out of this love in adoration and thanksgiving grows love in intercession and action; for with vision comes obligation, and a great responsibility. No soul can watch by the Saviour in His Crucifixion without the anguish of a great desire—to heal those wounds of Love with the love of many hearts.
Thus the fires of prayer are kindled, and stream heavenward in the flames of intercession, reparation and action, arising in turn, one from the other.
