“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

“I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”

“Ye are from beneath; I am from above. Ye are of this world; I am not of this world.”

“Before Abraham was, I am.”

And likewise every time you say “Be still, and know, I am God,” and truly KNOW I Am, God, you are ascended, and are in your Christ Consciousness.

And if you can realize it, whenever you are able to retire into your inner self and speak to your mind as to another person, and you get your mind to listen to you and recognize you as its Divine Self, you are ascended.

Then in very truth, no one can ascend into That Consciousness except he that has descended from That Consciousness, even the Son of God within every man. Meditate upon this very wonderful statement until you see how and why it must be true.

NOW LET us see if we can show you that one who is able to ascend to That Consciousness, who can transfer his center of awareness from the outer mind to the soul or the inner self, can disappear at will whenever the need is great enough—even as did Jesus from the midst of the Jews when they led Him to the top of a hill to kill him (Luke 4:28-30); and as did Peter as he delivered from prison by an angel on two occasions. (Acts 5:19 and Acts 12:8-9).

Many souls are incarnated today who have made the Ascension in former lives, or who, in other words, have been “reborn” and are able to withdraw their consciousness from the outer mind into their inner consciousness, and some into their Christ Consciousness. This some can do at will, and others when the need is great enough, as when some danger threatens and the mind is given clear sight; or when there is necessity for the real man to step forth and take charge in the helping or healing of others.

There have been reported to us instances of where in extreme danger the body has actually been lifted out of harm’s way;
