one case where a cobra was ready to strike; another where the house was afire with seemingly no way of escape; and still another where, while riding in an automobile in a narrow lane, from around a curve a speeding car approached, and a bad collision seemed inevitable—but the next moment the two cars were on their way having in some inexplicable manner passed each other.

In all these cases, and there are on record in the various Societies for Psychic Research numerous similar ones, the only explanation is that some invisible agency lifted the persons concerned out of harm’s way.

And who will say that there is any limit to the power of the soul, that invisible something whose life, intelligence and power enables man to do all that he does? Those of you who have heard of the paralyzed woman who had no use of her legs for twenty years, but who ran from a burning house in her fright; or of blind persons who in some great excitement suddenly gained their sight; or of child prodigies who could play difficult classic music on a piano or violin as soon as their fingers could stretch to the keys or strings,—must realize it was their souls that enabled them to do these things—souls that knew and had power before they had these bodies.

And who can say that similar unusual souls, when the need is, cannot act independently of the body’s will and co-operation—cannot cause the body to do things that are contrary to what is called natural law?

What we are trying to show is that when one is able to withdraw into the soul’s consciousness, one naturally by such act transcends natural law; because entering a higher vibration it enables one to control and utilize all forces and forms of a lower vibration. This is done simply by thinking and willing from the higher consciousness—knowing who one is and of what one is a part, and that all things exist in consciousness only—even as Jesus did.

By withdrawing into His Christ Consciousness, Jesus not only did all His so-called miracles, thinking them into manifestation in his mind, and thereby accomplishing whatever He wished to appear; but He disappeared at will merely by thinking, seeing and feeling Himself in the soul realm and invisible to the physical; and then by thinking, seeing and feeling Himself in a physical
