I believe with your large number of students, you could bring this home to the real Spiritual workers among them through the magazine and monthly message in a special powerful article, and thus bring a rallying of the higher forces that have never been able to get together before, because they have never thus been called, or because there has never been the mechanism on earth through which they could function as one focalized force. I am sure every friend I have on the upper planes would rally to such a call, as would all those of your workers or others to whom it could be forcefully brought.

IN COMMENTING on the above, we wish to point out that there is a definite reason and purpose back of the poverty of spiritual workers; for they are being called upon to prove that they are now putting all their faith and trust in God as the source of their supply, and not in outer sources any more; and the chief trials sent to such lie in the taking away of all outward support until there is left only God to look to and trust.
It is those who are still looking to material sources and have not yet a perfect love for and trust in God whom the enemy can reach and on whom they seemingly concentrate their efforts—for they are nearing the Kingdom and must be stopped, if possible, if any desires of self still remain. In this way is the enemy used by God to test and prove all those seeking to live the higher life.
What our friend calls the “plateau,” we take to be one of the “heavens” of the soul realm, where the soul is permitted to enjoy the compensations for the trials and suffering endured by its mortal expression while still in the physical. In other words, the soul dwells in as “perfect” a realm of consciousness as it has earned and can conceive
