THE BANKER

V

June 25, 1933.

A WORD or two more to supplement what I said in reference to Mr. B.’s article (The Law of Supply, published in the June issue of this magazine). He has stated splendidly the law and what it requires of the individual. As I said, if it were understood and obeyed, nothing more would be needed to usher in a new age.

When I spoke of a synthesis of Love and Power, I had in mind something that would make possible the obedience to the law. Mr. B.’s article renders valuable service in making clear the law, but still leaves the matter on planes too rare to make the symbol available except to the few who have developed an inner sense of it. In using the word Power, I had in mind bringing to the law and to the users of the law a means by which the fruits of the law could be made to manifest in usable form.

Conceive of law without Power and the instruments of Power to enforce it. On the human plane it would appear as only a “noble experiment,” sooner or later abandoned. Then consider a devotee of the “Law of Giving” having nothing to give but the substance and forms of the higher planes. True, he should be honored and blessed, but to the earth dwellers in need of material things, he would meet with small approval. He would disappoint the materialistic earth dwellers, but would disappoint still more the denizens of higher planes who want the earth experiences without the hardships which they have graduated from in previous visits.
