And this medium, this channel for the use of this omnipotent Power for the good of the Whole is the Plateau’s medium of exchange, their money. When earth money can be brought to symbolize this Power and will be similarly developed to the service of the Whole, it will do the same things on earth that the Plateau’s invisible medium does in Heaven.

Perhaps I can get this across if I point out some of the radical differences between Plateau and earth dwellers.

The Plateau Dweller feels himself an integral part of and dedicated to the Whole. He knows himself an Individuality equipped and always ready for service to that Whole; knows that such acts of service will be required here continually by the One Master within.

He recognizes that service to the Whole is universal, impersonal, without caste, creed, person, nation, custom or sex. Thus, the greater part of all that makes up the personality, has disappeared.

Knowing himself as an integral part of the whole, he feels his immortality; knows that whatever Power or Life acts through him links him impersonally to the focalized POWER and LIFE of the WHOLE—in fact, is Omniscience, Omnipotence, Omnipresence acting through him. Hence all reason for fear, anxiety, personal selfishness or greed are absent and in its place exists only the consciousness of a Loving POWER.

Now behold the earth man or the unprepared Plateau man descended to the earth. Compelled to create and care for self and protect it against the other selves, the Love that is natural to him becomes a passionate love of self, and in its train appear ambition, strife, greed, envy, jealousy, and all the traits that pertain to a self or selfishness.

The one outstanding characteristic that distinguishes the earth man is FEAR, fear for self. And this fear makes impossible that consciousness of POWER which is the substance of the Plateau man’s medium of exchange.

I have asked you to invoke POWER that you might overcome the fear for self, which is the enemy that bars the earth man from the riches of Heaven. Remember the riches of the Plateau are to all who will understandingly ask for them.
