THE GARMENT OF FLESH
“NAY, but as one layeth
His worn-out robes away,
And taketh new ones sayeth,
‘These will I wear today.’
So putteth by the spirit
Lightly its garb of flesh,
And passeth to inherit
A residence afresh.”
—From Sir Edwin Arnold’s The Song Celestial.

HOW TO TRUST
FOR ABOUT four years I have been working in a bank that closed its doors a year ago in March, since which time I have been employed by the Receivers, and the first of the year I received notice that my services would no longer be needed.
Except for your teachings I would have been panicky, and would hardly have known where to look for something to do; but I held steadily to the thought that there was a place for me in the business world—and within two days one was offered me.
It is true that I am getting $20.00 a month less than the salary I had been receiving, but I can live on that and have prospects of something better.
I had intended writing asking you to hold me in the right thought, but before I could get around to writing the job appeared. Thanks so much for all your help.
