THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW DISPENSATION
By J. A. H.
“And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast.”
UNQUESTIONABLY the “beast” is meant to represent the frankly selfish state of mankind; that portion of society which connives to gain control of the natural sources of supply. The Scripture clearly states that: “Those who have his mark or name or number are the only ones that may buy and sell.” Rev. XIII-17. This plainly personifies the grossly material man—the godless profiteer. Is his kingdom not now being filled with darkness? Are they not at this moment “gnawing their tongues for pain”?
This, however, is merely a circumstance to what the sixth angel shall bring. For his vial shall actually be “poured upon the great river”—the source of supply (money-credit)—“and the water thereof shall be dried up.” This seems like a terrible calamity, but it only prepares the way for a splendid state to follow. The Kings of the east shall appear. They represent the truly wise men, those who have learned to live by the New Covenant. These unselfish individuals of deep learning and spiritual insight shall lead the great army of unfettered men and women who will be raised to prepare the way for a day of still greater knowledge and power. The real day of the Lord when peace shall reign upon earth and the spirit of goodwill shall prevail among men.
We have expressed with definite assurance our conviction that this epoch is the dawn of a new civilization—
