come to be simply moral centers such as were the ancient synagogues.

This appears hopeless, but it is only a part of the great plan. For through this very emptiness of the Divine in the present form of church worship has arisen already an individual contacting. Thousands upon thousands are even now, this very day, realizing that their greatest help in a spiritual way becomes manifest to them when alone with God. They have come to sense that the old “Helps” are inadequate and confusing. In the inner being of each earnest thinker has arisen the knowledge that his God lives not upon the altar nor within the chancel, but in his own sanctuary, his own Holy of Holies. He may therefore feel His Presence at all times and under all circumstances.

Thus is the new dispensation already established firmly upon the solid foundation of the old. Just as the Jews passed gradually from the domination of the Law to the greater freedom of a Messianic hope, so have we emerged into the state of direct contact while still under the influence of the Logos (Jesus Christ).

The aim and purpose of this great evangelizing movement which is so manifest throughout the world may now be clearly seen. It is simply the expansion and extension of the age old doctrine, expressed in the New Covenant, of a personal contact with God; it is the inherent striving of the force of Universal Law to harmonize and unify every particle of individualized substance into one great Whole. This is the goal of all higher teaching and its attainment is simply the establishment of a universal Kingdom in our midst.

All that is required to accomplish this fully is to reorganize the scattered believers in the old forms into one
