The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | JUNE 1935

Love and your smile, do all that you desire to do. You may bring others to this garden, by asking and seeking them only in your mind, and then teach them the things that you have learned here; and they too can eat the fruit from your tree of Love; and when they return to earth they will use the truths you teach them in their daily life.

“Tell no one on earth what you have seen here. Just be quiet and bring them here when you would help them. This is the Garden of your Soul, and you must remember never to plant anything here that you do not want to grow and become real.

“The thoughts that you have on earth grow in your garden here, and you will see growing here what you planted in your garden by your thinking there, as well as the things you think while you are here.

“You have been shown all this because of your sincere desire to help your brothers and sisters on earth. Know a great truth, every one of earth is your brother or sister, no matter how they may look or what they may do. When you are tempted to be unkind to any one, just remember your beautiful garden, and give them Love instead, so that there will be no weeds nor thistles growing here.

“You may not always see us when you come here, but you will know that we are always near and will always help you, as long as you keep your heart filled with love and a desire to be of help to every one you meet.

“We will now take you back. Just stand up and do as you did before, and we will be on our way.”

They all raised their arms and were soon floating up over the garden and back over the beautiful country, finally passing over the city and then down and through her bedroom window.

Dorothy rubbed her eyes, and found that she was sitting up in bed, and that the sun was streaming in through the window. The Brownies were nowhere to be seen; but she felt very happy because she knew that they were near, and would always be near her so long as she remembered to keep her heart filled with Love. And this she was determined to do from now on.
