of his being; hence his co-ordinative “sending” is in the same degree.

An individual who is not capable of higher or universal essence recognition is simply outside the realm of spiritual enlightenment, and is therefore not particularly interested in anything but the mundane. He goes through his earthly existence without thought of the higher.

This does not mean that he lacks intelligence but that he is simply not responsive to the multitude of finer outside impressions. He does not correlate them, hence is unconscious of them in the sense of reacting toward them. He is “perceptually” minded.

The Mystic rises above this ordinary responsiveness, as is shown in the above sketch.

WHEN you are riding in a craft and hit a heavy sea,
Haul down your mainsail for the time, and leave the rest to Me.
I’ve Captained many an unmanned boat, I’ve Captained in the lea
Where there was not a breath o’ wind, except that coming from Me.
I’ve handled many untried men, a crew as naught you’d see,
On any but a barge of fate, and I’ve brought them through to Me.
I’ve made them into shining stars that shed their light for Me
To guide men into any port, where’er their desire may be.
So trust your Captain, give him Faith, let down that mainsail, free
Thy ropes, and let Me sail your ship ’pon life’s uncertain sea.
