Then I had read, some months ago, “The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East,” in which “traveling in the invisible” seemed to me very normal and logical because of my own experiences. I was thinking about it before going to sleep. Soon I “fell awake,” and in talking about it to some people I found there assembled before me, I insisted that it was not only possible, but the normal way to travel; that the secret was—and this surprised me as it did anyone else—“Love your enemies.” As I said that, entirely unexpectedly to myself, I calmly floated through the walls of the room to demonstrate what I meant.

WE ARE giving to our readers this and other unusual experiences in the soul realms solely to make them acquainted with their inner meaning, and also to enable those having similar experiences to know what is happening to them.

It is not our desire to encourage such experiences—the very opposite is our wish, especially for those who are not naturally psychic. Such are usually of the mental type, and any efforts to induce psychism or to quicken or awaken the psychic centers, almost always prove disastrous; their development is along an entirely different line—the unfolding of the mental forces, not the psychic.

But where one has unfolded the psychic faculties naturally, it is of utmost importance that such become acquainted with the laws of the psychic planes, and be taught what is happening to them, what it means, and how to protect themselves from the inimical forces that abound on such planes.
