The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | MARCH 1934

has brought to you every experience needed to develop in you the qualities of mind and soul that will enable Him to express more and more of His perfect nature, surely would not have you suffer anything that is harder than you can bear, or that is not necessary for your growth. Think, must this not be so?

Then why not now begin to trust Him? Who—God up somewhere in the skies? No, this life and intelligence within you that is the Real You—the God You, Who has been with you from the beginning—but you did not know it. Why not turn within and get acquainted with Him? He will gladly make Himself known, if you really want to know Him, and prove it by earnestly seeking Him. In fact, He has been waiting all your life for an opportunity to have you become aware of Him, aware that He is a wise and loving God, and has been always watching over and caring for you, giving you just as much of the good things of life as you earned and would use for the good of the whole.

You see, that is His Law—He is concerned only with the good of the whole; and whenever He can get anyone to listen, He tries to show him this. But you who have been so concerned with getting for self, you either would not listen or could not understand. So he had to put you through the experiences of life that would teach you to listen and to understand. Are you beginning to see now why so many of the hard experiences you went through were necessary?

It is likewise so with humanity. The cycle is over for growing more branches on its tree. The blossoming season is very near. But before then the branches have to be purged and trimmed, so that the life forces can flow
