IN THIS Department will be included teachings and truths for more advanced students, especially for those who have received the monthly lessons in the Papers during the past five years.

Some of our readers perhaps may not be able to grasp these truths, but we urge if so that they reserve them for future study and consideration, as they will contain matter of vital moment to the soul, when it is grown ready to receive and use it as intended.

IN THE July issue in this Department was shown clearly two things—the fact that there are actual workers of evil deliberately using their occult powers to influence the minds of men to harmful and destructive ends; and that plenty of opportunities await all true disciples seeking to serve, pointing out to them how they can counteract and annul the activities of these workers of evil.

All Inner Workers must know these facts and must be prepared to act accordingly; and in this Department we are making it our business to aid everyone who wishes to work as nearly in consonant co-operation with our Brothers in Spirit as possible, in defeating the efforts of evil forces to influence and control the minds of men.

Most people are like sheep, they are easily led, having no ability to think for themselves. Therefore they accept anything that feeds certain ideas or desires of self for bettering their condition, if it sounds good, and if their associates believe it. They are incapable of reasoning it out for themselves and of detecting the sophistry, the error, and often the deliberate lies fed them. That is the reason so many of the working class accept the ideas of socialism and communism—they satisfy certain “half-baked” ideas and answer certain doubts that have arisen in their minds regarding the justice of the hard conditions existing in their lives, not realizing that the fallacies of these two “isms” cannot possibly bring about the happy adjustment of such conditions that they promise.

Some of our readers have intimated that they do not want to let their minds see and dwell on such evil forces or on any of the negative things now existing, but instead want to see and believe all things as good. Dear friends, it is one thing to try
