The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | FEBRUARY 1935

Waves of power seemed to flow through every part of my being, filling and thrilling every inch of my body like an electric current. I, myself, was the power. This was a wonderful realization.

TUESDAY, August 15th, 1933. 2 A. M.
Attained the realization of complete Oneness with Spirit. I surrendered my humanity to Spirit until I could feel the Spirit gradually overcoming the mortal, or this being I had called self; until my entire self, or humanity, was completely submerged in the Spirit and there was nothing left of the mortal man, or the so-called me.

This was a joyous realization. My whole body seemed gradually to lift and float in air, becoming light and transparent and completely bathed in Spirit, until it was Spirit.

WEDNESDAY, August 16th, 1933. 3 A. M.
Again attained realization of complete Oneness with Spirit. Again the mortal, or self, was completely merged in the Spirit. A Voice seemed to speak and tell me to bring all my hopes and desires to God, to turn over every idea to Him, and in Him they would all be fulfilled and given back to be perfected; for God was the fulfillment of every hope and desire; He was the Giver and the Gift. I should look to Him and to Him only, and give thanks because I had already received.

THURSDAY, August 17th, 1933. 3 A. M.
Attained a realization that I was the Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God. I was perfected forever more, cleansed, and made whole.

Waves of Love swept over my soul for every human being. I realized I was seeing clearly for the first time in my life. All inharmony and discord melted away, everything was perfect; for I was not only seeing myself as the perfect Son of God, but everyone else was the Christ, every man was my brother, every man was a temple of God; every living thing was perfect, living and moving and having its being in a perfect universe, which was God. I could not even think an unkind thought, much less speak an unkind word.

A Voice seemed to tell me that I was henceforth to look upon every living creature as God’s perfect creation; to realize that every
