The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | MAY 1936

FROM ONE NOW DWELLING IN HER HEAVENLY HOME

IT HAS been my intention to write you ever since Easter, but each day as I go from glory to glory, the last day seems as nothing and today’s knowledge becomes nothing tomorrow.

This month’s Paper, as usual, showed me all that I had experienced. This year it just seemed I was not interested in the Easter services, and once again I felt I had drifted from you, but I surely was interested in the resurrection that I was going through at that time, and I can truly say, “I am the resurrection and the life.”

On Monday before Easter, I left my own body and its beliefs. What an experience! Words cannot express the feeling I had. I felt as though I were only a shell creeping around here, and Oh so weak and forsaken! I also felt that it was all right, but that my Higher Self had left me.

Meeting our class that evening, there were some who sensed that I was not there at all. One said, “Only a shell was there and you were gone.” That feeling stayed until Wednesday, and then the word “Life” sang through me.

On Friday I attended a Truth Lecture and it was upon the subject of “Authority.” As I sat there, I became conscious of being in a vapor-like white cloud. This went from me until it filled the whole room with a brilliant light, and as I looked many were clothed in pure white. Such strength was mine and I realized as never before that the power I had was of the Christ within me. Ever since that, life has changed for me. Whereas I was living among the dead, now I am alive with the risen Christ. All that I have been struggling to learn is now clear.

Oneness is every place. I see now that I have seen oneness always. Yesterday came the words. “You have never died, you have been as you are now, going on from glory to glory.”

As I talked to some friends yesterday, I realized that I am really passed from their lives or am dead to them.

It has been a great fight, for although I did not know why I did so, I have resisted nothing but what was not of the Christ.
