If you will remember, Jesus, directly after His baptism in the Jordan, was led of the Spirit into the wilderness, where He was tempted by the devil. Why was that possible? It was because even He, after being entrusted with that great Gift of the Holy Spirit, had to prove His worthiness and ability rightly to use the powers It bestowed.

So it will be with everyone from now on—he must prove his worthiness and ability rightly to use the knowledge and powers entrusted to him. For having entered the King’s Chamber—into the King’s Consciousness, it will not only stimulate the soul and all the good and evil resident therein and bring them to the surface, so that the good be wisely utilized and the bad be mastered and controlled; but it will provide, by the temptations of the devil of self, those who are able to abide in such King Consciousness and there be a true ruler of all of self’s forces, even as was Jesus the Christ, and likewise will prove those who have no right to the glorious benefits to be bestowed upon all who abide therein.

This will give an understanding of what is the initiation that all men must pass through within the next two years. All will be tempted of the devil as never before in their lives, and everything of self left in their natures will be utilized by the tester to keep the initiate from making the “right-hand turn.”

On the other hand, everyone who is able to prove during that time that “the prince of this world hath nothing in me,” will make the “right-hand turn” and will then be established in his Christ Consciousness and will do the works that Jesus did during His ministry on earth.

And remember, all the Forces of Light will be working with him during these two years, just to the extent that he works with Them and looks only to God for his strength and help. In other words, all seemed impossible of attainment under conditions existing all through the past may now be accomplished in this short period, because of the freedom from restraint allowed everyone.

This shows the importance, dear ones, of keeping mind and heart fixed upon the Lord within every moment of the day from now on, concerned only that you are pleasing Him, so that the devil can find nothing of self in you, and you can abide always
