room she explained that the key had become jammed in the lock of the front door; she could neither unlock the door nor remove the key. Being an elderly lady she was quite upset about it.

She had occasion to leave the room for a few minutes, so I decided to treat the key. I spoke to it gently, but firmly, commanding it in the name of Jesus Christ to release the lock. At the same time I turned the key. The lock turned back, and the key was extricated. The key was so bent that only God could have removed it without taking the lock apart.

Last summer a wart developed on the bridge of my nose. It grew rapidly. It not only was unsightly but very sore. I stood it as long as possible, then decided to do something about it. I took up my hand-mirror and looking at the wart in the mirror, I spoke aloud, and said: “Wart, you belong to a lower order of life than I do; so you have no power or dominion over me, a child of God.” I then commanded it in the name of the Father to go back to its own kingdom. In less than a week it dropped off, and did not leave even a scar.

My husband had seven warts on his right hand. He and I treated them in the same manner, and they have nearly all disappeared.

We had a lovely garden last summer, until the lice and bugs began to destroy the plants. I again applied the spiritual law. I walked slowly between the rows, holding my hands over the plants. I spoke aloud to the pests telling them that “I, God, am taking care of this garden and I now require you to go back to your own kingdom.” (This does not constitute the whole treatment but gives you an idea as to the method used.) After the second treatment there was not a bug to be found on any of the plants. We had a fine crop of vegetables.

When I first took up these studies I was always at a loss just what to say or do when treating. I would look thru the Unity books for an affirmation that I thought would fit my particular case. Sometimes they were lengthy and hard to remember, and I did not get quick results. Now, I know from experience that it does not matter so much WHAT you say or HOW you say it, as it is the POWER OF FAITH that one puts
