The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | SEPTEMBER 1936

Upon leaving the house, this landlady, who is a very well-known person to me, said: “I simply couldn’t be harsh with that woman.” I replied “Of course not! You are going to help her!” She then went on to tell her that if she would be patient with that little woman who had said so pathetically “I owe everybody. There isn’t a person in the world whom I do not think kindly of,” God will pay her bills for her.

“It is your part to be patient, and know with me that she will be supplied with sufficient funds to be able to manifest integrity, diligence and honesty. She is God’s child, He has heard and answered the call for help that has been sent out today; even before we called He had answered.”

This happened a week ago today; since then I have personally seen three different manifestations of God’s supplying her. One in the form of a tenant for an apartment or suite of rooms she can spare to rent out; another in the form of actual money which a dear Truth student put into my hand “to be used for some person who is in actual need;” and another in the form of an abundant supply of good literature which she requested to give her more enlightenment. These are in the form of simple, plain, easily understood messages, suitable to a beginner in the study and understanding of Truth.

When one stops to think that this is but one of thousands and thousands of poor hungry, starving souls who need—Oh! HOW THEY NEED—enlightenment, it behooves us each and everyone who do KNOW the truth, to get busy and be about “The Father’s business.” My prayer is that I may be led to more and more of these to whom the Light may be reflected through me, so that darkness may be dispelled.

CLAIM YOUR HERITAGE

CLAIM your heritage. Each day proclaim to your soul what you are in reality. When it becomes imbedded in the soul—in your subconsciousness, it will be reflected in the mind and in the body. Had the Master not known His heritage, could He have given us the truths He gave? But of course, you, being God He was fully conscious of His Godhood. But did not He say we were His Brothers? Let us here and now accept this fact, and act on it.
