The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | JANUARY 1933
THE INNER LIFE
seek and gain a right understanding of both the inner and outer laws of being; so that finally there will be nothing anymore in its consciousness hindering the Higher Self of the soul from living Its perfect life, doing Its wise and loving will, and being Its real self in the outer the same as in the inner world; in other words, so that the inner and the only real man and world may manifest fully in the outer.
That means that we will venture into a field of knowledge avoided by most writers and magazines—the field of the soul, because of so few being able to treat of it understandingly and convincingly; and this on account of not having complete knowledge. The soul being the real man, it is about time that man’s mind becomes fully acquainted with its real self and that self’s real life, and that he begin cleansing his consciousness of all the wrong teachings and beliefs about that self and its life, so that the real self can come forth and use the mind as it should be used—to express the knowledge and power of the soul and thus be the real man.
This magazine, you will find, will greatly help to that end. For while some may think that nothing is offered that has not been stated elsewhere, yet it will be presented in such a way that it will throw an entirely new light on formerly accepted truths, a light that will make those truths real and capable of practical use.
For that purpose there is available more convincing evidence than is generally realized, and to give you a taste of such evidence we will offer for the benefit of our readers in a series of articles a treatise on the soul, that will later be brought out in book form, the first of which follows in the next article, and which will appear as the Introduction to the book proper.
