If you have consciously arrived at the cross road and have now chosen to follow our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, then these things have come to you solely to show what there is of that personal self that still stands in the way, and of course it must be overcome and removed.

But, dear friend, that will be easy if you will but call on the One Whom you are following to help you, for He will gladly take the whole matter into His hands and arrange it for you—if you will only let Him. Of course that means that you must trust Him utterly to do it, and will get out of the way with all your fears, worries and concerns that clog up the channel of your consciousness and prevent Him from taking charge and showing you just what He wants you to do, and what He intends to do through you. Can you see this? Then all you have to do is to surrender everything to Him, promising Him that you will do your part if He will show you just what it is He wants you to do.

Regarding your having fallen away from following Christ after having been clearly shown that He alone you must follow; while it may have been a sin against the Holy Ghost, yet, dear brother, it was the only way He could bring you fully to Himself—to allow you to wander in the darkness just as long as you wanted to, in order to become sure that you wanted Him more than anything else in life.

Evidently you have come to that now. Therefore, we tell you that never could such a “sin” keep you from Him. For Who is He, but your own Divine Self—God in you, Who is All that you are, and you could no more be separated from Him than you can separate an idea in your consciousness from your consciousness. For God in you has been watching over, permitting, guiding and helping you from the beginning, and through every part of such “sinning.” For every thought that came to you during that period was known by and often inspired by Him.

Therefore, why be so foolish as to believe any longer that you are not forgiven, and that He is not waiting eagerly for you to turn to Him and surrender all to Him? If you are ready to do that, never doubt, dear brother, that He will open wide His arms and take you straight into His heart, where you can abide forevermore, if you will.
