LUXURIES
WHY SHOULD books seem a luxury to you? Is not your Loving Father glad and willing to provide every needed thing? Then why limit Him by such thoughts? Do you not realize that if all that the Father hath is yours, it is only such thoughts that limit the manifestation of your good and clog the channel so it cannot reach you—excepting in dribbles? Think how foolish that is. Is God not the Source of all supply? Then why not keep your mind open by a perfect trust in Him, just knowing that He will supply every good and needed thing.

ASTRAL VOICES
IT LOOKS very much as if our friend is listening to some astral entities who are trying to keep him away from these truths. Therefore, we must pray for him and more particularly must know the Truth for him—that he is a child of God and that God alone is his consciousness, his life—and his nature.
Pay no attention to what he says or claims. It has no truth in it, and try to get him to stop listening to those voices, explaining to him just what they are. They are probably some mischievous entities seeking to lead him astray. Above all things, do not allow him to come into your Group and talk such stuff, because it disorganizes it and prevents your going ahead with your real work. Can you not see that he does not belong and that he is far from ready for these truths?

SELF’S CONCERN
YOUR problem is really not so serious a one as you think, because you are trying to make yourself responsible. If you would be carefully loving Voice within, instead of that voice that keeps you so stirred up about it, you would find that the very best thing for both of you would arrange itself naturally and in perfect harmony. If it is intended that your mother do all the things that you plan for her, can you not see that it will be arranged for her without your needing to be concerned about it in any way?
Your concern really binds more than it helps, for that concern is the opposite of the perfect faith and trust in your Loving Father that you should have. Do you not realize that He knows best what He wants for her—how He wishes to express Himself through her, even as how He wishes to express Himself best through you? Then why not trust Him?
Now as to the question of marriage, can you not place that also wholly in the Father’s hands—in this way do nothing until you are so strongly pushed from within to do it that you know it is His will for you. That is a rule which if obeyed will prevent you from making any mistakes in your life. It is your human concern—the concern of self—that causes more trouble and inharmony in life than almost anything else—the unwillingness to trust that Loving Life within which is growing every soul on earth and will bring to it just the experiences, just the good that it needs, for its best expression—if not interfered with by such concern.
