WE HAVE tried to show you how necessary it is to study your mind, to study the processes of mind, and especially what thoughts and beliefs you are carrying around in your mind’s consciousness.

We have shown you the difference between your mind and you; that within your mind is an inner world in which exist the thought-pictures embodying your concepts of all things, people and conditions that appear to your physical senses in the outer world.

We have also shown that your mind thinks, and that through this power of thinking it has actually created or shaped into mental forms everything that it now “sees” in its consciousness, and which it thinks is manifesting in the outer world.

Now let us “see” exactly what is this mind of yours. First, elsewhere you have been taught that it is the outer extension of your consciousness; that all is consciousness and that you are an outer extension or ray of God’s Consciousness; that both you and your mind’s consciousness are this ray of God’s Consciousness, your mind being the outermost, and as a soul being within, or between your mind and God, and the Light or Intelligence of God’s Consciousness having to shine or penetrate through your soul’s consciousness before it reaches the mind.

Then we might say that your soul is a transformer that steps down the Intelligence of God’s Consciousness to your mind; even as your mind steps down your soul’s intelligence to your mortal understanding as fast as it is able to receive it.

Your mind therefore serves but as an instrument or vehicle of consciousness, even as does your soul on a higher or inner plane of being; consciousness being all and doing all that soul and mind are and do. Study this well and it becomes clear.

Now the mind and soul being vehicles of consciousness, it is easy to see that the mind vehicle must contain in its consciousness all that exists for it on the mortal plane of expression—all that it has seen, learned and accepted as being so and has thus built into its consciousness as knowledge—human knowledge.
