other words this constitutes its world—all of the so-called outer world of which it is conscious.
While the soul vehicle must likewise contain in its consciousness all that exists for it in the soul world of expression—all that it has seen, learned and accepted as being so in its many lives on earth and between incarnations, the essence of whose experiences has been built into its consciousness as soul knowledge.
But as all is consciousness and all knowledge is in consciousness on its different levels of expression, it must be that on the Spiritual and Higher levels the essence of all experience gained from the soul’s life back through the vast ages is utilized in and by higher vehicles of consciousness, all under the direction of God or of the Divine Spirit or Higher Self that serves as a Ray of God’s Consciousness in expression in these outer worlds of being.
From this it will be seen that “you” are always consciousness, are that Ray of God’s Consciousness now expressing in your human mind, and that according to your ability as consciousness to withdraw within yourself, you can center yourself on any of the levels mentioned—in soul, in the Spiritual or in the Divine worlds of being.
But we are concerned at present only with the soul level of expression. We want you first to get acquainted with yourself as a soul—as a ray of God’s Consciousness, so that you will know that you are not your mind, that it is but your instrument or vehicle of consciousness on the earth plane, and that you will learn to direct and utilize all of its powers, even as from a higher level you will later learn to direct and utilize all of the powers of your soul.
If you have studied carefully all that has been stated in the previous articles as well as in the present one so that every point is clear, you are prepared to proceed with us in our study of the inner world of your mind, providing you are able to concentrate all the forces of your mind upon what you call upon it to do.
NOW LET US suppose that you have brought your mind to that state of efficiency where you can hold its attention and interest upon any given thought to the exclusion of everything else. We are assuming that all interested in this study are well
