The Inner Life

that would maintain His expression in its goodness and perfection.”
These ideas, because they are logical and cannot be gainsaid or contradicted by your mind, will probably be recognized and accepted by it as truth—if it takes the time and trouble to meditate upon them until all of their inner meaning becomes clear.
Probably many other ideas would come from within—from the Divine Source, the One Consciousness of which you are a Ray, amplifying and making even more clear and sure this great truth to your mind—which could not help but result, if you followed our directions to watch carefully all the ideas that presented themselves.
It would do no good however for your mind merely to accept this as truth when first recognized, but it must be “chewed” thoroughly by the mind (which is real meditation) before it is “swallowed” (accepted as true); after which it will be “digested” by the subconscious (stomach) and be absorbed into the life (the blood) and thus be assimilated into the soul consciousness (the system) and becomes an integral part of your nature.
Which means that you will then KNOW that God does love and care for you, even as you know your name and how to walk and talk; and you will not have to stop and think of its truth whenever a passing thought to the contrary appears in your mind—that being the only place it would appear or exist. That is the only way one really knows and is able to use truth.
Now we will take the rest of the quotation—“and is giving me all good things.”
The natural conclusion, after meditation upon these words, would be that God, in order to “maintain His expression in its goodness and perfection,” would provide every condition and thing that would conduce to such state of expression.
For if God loves and cares for you, and He certainly knows best what is good for you, it is inconceivable that He would express in you or in your life anything that was not good for you. Think, must this not be so?
But what you think is good might be and probably is entirely different from what He thinks is good and is what you need.
