Your two visions or dreams were sent to you to explain what you were passing through at the time and to give you encouragement. The first with the open gate and the long avenue, at the end of which was the beautiful home you described, was to symbolize the gate that had opened to a new home in consciousness that was waiting for you. While the second was to tell you that if you would be fearless and willing to face the storm, no matter how badly it looked, you would learn even as in the dream that once you got started away from the shore, the clouds would soon roll away, the sun would shine and you would have plain and easy sailing. The five big strong men that seemed a part of you were your five physical senses, symbolizing your human powers and your common sense, which would carry you through, when guided by the painter and teacher—which means your soul-self inspired by the Christ within, your Divine Teacher.

I was sitting in meditation, eyes closed, when a large star appeared as I was looking seemingly through the center of my forehead. The star kept rising until it had lifted me out through the top of my head. I was conscious of my body sitting in the chair, although I felt I was somehow still attached to it. I then found myself standing in a beautiful grove, the trees and driveways were laid out as by a master landscape gardener. A beautiful young man came walking toward me, smiling such welcome and kindliness. Then Jesus came. He stood before me in His gracious loveliness. His eyes very tender. Then came a young woman who held a wand, I would call it for description sake, that had on its end a star within a circle. She pressed this against my forehead.

No words were spoken,—it seemed as if I were lifted into a new consciousness by these loved ones. Then they became obscured, and I felt myself being drawn back into my physical body. But it left me with such a feeling of joy that I cannot describe it. From that time I began to write the poems, some of which I sent you.

We thank you for the details about going out of your body. The large star that appeared was the light radiating from a Spiritual Guide that actually lifted you out of your normal consciousness into that of your soul, where you found yourself in that garden or grove you saw. You were welcomed by your soul comrades and especially by the Lord Christ, and apparently you were called there to receive His approval and the mark of your degree of spiritual attainment, which ever afterward will be seen on your forehead by your brothers in Spirit. We rejoice with you, dear friend, at this sign of His acceptance and approval.
