THE MONSTER OF SELF

BE NOT cast down by the sorrows and hardships which come thy way. Know that thy Father does not mete punishment to His children, but out of His infinite wisdom teaches them the error of their ways.

Be strong and honest to thyself; for know you, God the Father recognizes him who is a hypocrite before the hypocrite recognizes himself.

Go down into thine own soul, and whatever thou art, see thyself, and know thyself, and pray for guidance and righteousness. God, thy Father, all-seeing and all-merciful.

He who prays for guidance shall receive strength such as is beyond the comprehension of mortal man.

Go thou into the quiet places of the earth where thou canst meditate and renew the timber of thy soul.

In a land of plenty, of milk and honey where there is so much of food, of everything, why do we have those who are so very rich, and those so very poor? Cannot the people regulate these things, that there will be enough to eat for all?

God gave us a beautiful world. It remained to man to desecrate it. Those whose hearts lift and listen to the voice of God must help lead their brothers toward the light and help awaken within them appreciation of the beauty and peace wherein they may dwell.

God gave us the sun and the earth, and placed man upon the earth that he might partake of the bounties of his mother Earth and his father Sun. Neither Earth nor Sun is complete without the other. The coition of these two brings forth beautiful harvests by which man may benefit.

As the races on the earth increased and multiplied, Greed became the most predominate thing thereon. Greed has grown until we find it a hideous man-eating monster, devouring the very ones who helped to perpetrate its growth. This monster must be killed. Until it has been given a death-blow, no peace, nor happiness, nor prosperity can find expression anywhere.
