The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | JUNE 1933

from the true Light—to bring the sense of sin or separateness into the world of man’s mind, and naturally bringing with it a belief in darkness, and consequently sickness, suffering, inharmoniousness and unhappiness to his mortal consciousness.

But all awakened souls in their true consciousness know that only by descending into, directing, instructing, and thus purifying them of error, can they bring the mind’s darkened consciousness back into the light of Truth, or into oneness of consciousness with their Fathers-in-Heaven, and into the final harmony and peace to be gained only in such Consciousness.

Awakened and reborn souls willingly endure the temporary separation, for only by thus purifying and redeeming the darkened consciousness still in the body—and in all minds and all bodies in which it believes itself separate from its soul consciousness—by flooding the body consciousness with the light of the soul, can such reborn souls bring the consciousness back again into the full harmony of oneness, not only with their Fathers-in-Heaven, but with God, the Father-in-Heaven of all Sons of God.

So such souls willingly and gladly endure all, in order that their human minds may be won back into the Light and thus may not only free them for full service under the direction of their Highest Self, the Christ within them, but may bring back again that divine union of Soul and Mind whose separation they underwent solely in order that their bodies and all bodies on earth might be redeemed and lifted back into the Light that had been granted them as “living souls” in the Garden of Eden, when they were first established there.

(To be continued)
