THE JIG SAW PUZZLE

By E. J. J.

IN OUR January number we published an article entitled, “The Government of The World.” Its purpose was to point out the real though invisible network of government that is ever directing and guiding the affairs of humanity from behind the scenes. In studying and reflecting upon that article, you probably came to the conclusion that no matter how seemingly evil and unhappy are the affairs in the outer world, still the invisible Christ Government has them all under perfect control, and is utilizing every mistake of the outer mind and fitting it as a necessary part into the Great Cosmic Picture. The following article on man’s latest hobby, aptly illustrates this truth.—THE EDITOR.

HUMANITY is today going through one of those momentous crises, a time of change that has brought into manifestation a great paradox,—starvation in the midst of plenty, and chaos evidencing itself on every side. Yet man nonchalantly sits back and indulges himself in a seemingly foolish hobby; returning to the childhood stage he amuses himself with the Jig Saw Puzzle.

Ministers, editors, statesmen and others have been daily commenting upon the significance of this game of many parts, and comparing it with the revolutionary life and conditions of today. But most of these observers have failed to look beyond appearances and see what is really happening behind the scenes; that this pastime is but a symbol of man’s present mental state; and that it represents a milestone in the evolution of humanity.

From the standpoint of eternity and of the millions of years required to perfect the growth and development of humanity, it appears as if the Creator is solving a Jig Saw
