IN THE first part of this treatise it was promised to explain all the various phases of the soul; to show its source, its birth, its life, its nature, its development, and its destiny; to make plain its relation to the mind and body, as well as to the Spirit animating it, so plain that all who read may understand.”

It is urged that the reader stop and consider carefully the above in order to see if he now understands each of these phases of the soul; and if not, to ask himself if he stayed with each explanation until it became clear. If this was not done, it is hoped that before he proceeds farther he will go back and re-read from the beginning, in order that what was taught be made a part of the consciousness; for the deep truths therein are perhaps the most important and far-reaching that can be given to the world at this time.

No one is asked to believe anything that was stated unless it appeals both to his reason and to that something within which must be satisfied. But it is firmly believed that those earnest ones, who were determined to learn the full truth about this great subject and who meditated upon everything stated until its truth was perceived, are now in a much higher consciousness than they were in before taking up this study of the soul; for nothing less than several illuminations must have resulted during the course of such study—so remarkable were the inner meanings when uncovered.
