That which Worry had heaped upon the Temple, Hope soon cleared away. That which Worry had imprisoned in darkness, was made free by the light of Hope.

That which Fear had poisoned, Love purified. That which Fear had sickened was made strong again by Love.

And the Temple in that Garden of all flowers, of all fruitful trees, and of all living waters, was restored to the seemliness of its beauty. Within the Temple the Light again shone brightly, and within the Light the One who dwelt there as his right sang sweetly and happily, because of the coming and abiding of the Shining One.

THE GARDEN symbolizes the natural purity of the Soul’s consciousness, in which stands the Temple Not Built With Hands—the “Image and Likeness” body, or the inner abiding place of the Soul.

In the Soul’s consciousness grow naturally all the beautiful flowers (pure ideas and thoughts), the luscious fruits (loving acts), and flow freely the living waters (the expressed life) of the Holy Spirit, who is the Builder of the Temple and the Source of Its Light.

But when doubt, worry and fear, the progeny of self, are allowed to enter the consciousness, there cannot but result what was depicted in the above picture. Then after sufficient suffering the Soul remembers, and calls upon the Spirit for help. And the Spirit, always near, hears its own, and comes bringing what will drive out every shadow and make Its Light to shine brightly once more.

If the Soul has learned its lesson, the Shining One abides and directs all its ways. —THE EDITOR.
