THE WAY OUT
SOMETIME ago I was lent your little pamphlet, The Way Out. I was very blue and despondent at the time due to financial worries. Some property we had sold five years ago was turned back to us. We owed more on it than it was worth and had sold it only on contract. Within the last year we also had to encumber our present home; so when the other property was turned back on us, things did not look good as our income was small.
I was so worried and despondent I was almost sick in bed. At this time a friend gave me your little pamphlet. I read it and reread it, over and over again. As more and more the truth of its statements unfolded to me things began to look better and I began to feel better. In fact something seemed to tell me everything would come out all right.
Finally one day it became necessary for me to buy my daughter a new dress. I had no money, except five dollars left in the bank—money that I was saving up toward the interest that would soon have to be met. I did not know just what to do at first, when the thought came to me, “God loves and cares for me and is giving me all good things,” and with perfect confidence and faith I went straight to the bank and drew out the last five dollars and purchased the dress.
We had hardly returned home from town when the man who had turned the land back to us came over and said he wanted the place again. He paid the price I asked, and cash this time.
I was so overjoyed I hardly knew how to thank our Loving Father for His goodness to me. Now I know He surely does love and care for me.
I thought you might like to know of this; to me it was truly a miracle. —MRS. G. T. W.
