The Inner Life

then continue until you feel it is He, GOD, Who alone IS—Who is All that you are.
If this feeling does not come at once, say to your mind, “I, God, alone am.” Repeat it slowly, again and again, putting into it all the feeling that you can—and soon you will know it is true.
The chief thing is to turn your mind’s attention deep within the heart to the very center of your being, and to fix it there until you feel your heart opening and letting Love out. And when it pours out and floods your being, making you know it is God—then listen to what Love tells you, by just opening your mind to its words of Loving Wisdom. And It will speak—if you expect it to—by strongly impressing your mind with its meaning and intent for you.
For instance, let us turn to the thought of that pet trouble or ailment which has been manifesting in your body for many months, causing you so much disturbance of mind. If it is—say, your stomach, let us now, instead of thinking of and seeing the ailment in your stomach, look right through that old thought of it and try to see God there, knowing that He, being All in all, is in every cell of your stomach—with His consciousness being the only consciousness that is in your body or mind—and that He is the very center and reality of that stomach thought.
But of course He is not pain, weakness, inharmony or imperfection of any kind, for He is all good and all perfect and sees and knows only goodness and perfection in all parts of Himself.
As the realization of this truth fills your mind, it will feel as if you are entering His Consciousness and a glad Love will flow from Him within you, warming your being; and you will almost hear Him saying,
“No, My child; I, God, alone am. I am your stomach. I am its life; its perfect health and functioning power. For am I not all good and perfect, and where I am can there be any inharmony, weakness or pain? Know this Truth, and be free—one with Me in My eternal Goodness and Perfection.”
Then, in the recognition of this great Truth, let go; and His Love, which is His perfect Consciousness, will flood your being—and your stomach will be healed. For with that Consciousness filling your mind there is no longer in it any room for other than His Goodness and Perfection.
