nature outwardly is the imperfection of his human mind—the limitations caused by its unfinished development. When man’s mind, through education, training and persistent unfolding and perfecting of its faculties and powers, has answered all questions to the full satisfaction of his soul or real self, he has attained to the state of a perfect man, and he then assumes his god nature.

In other words, it is by one’s ability to answer satisfactorily the questions forming the important things of life, such as the questions in the title of this article, that one’s spiritual as well as mental development may be known. For there is no intelligent question asked by the mind of a man that cannot be answered to that mind’s satisfaction; and the very fact that a certain mind asks a certain question is a sure evidence that that mind sometime will know the answer. Otherwise the question would not have been given the mind by the soul for consideration and answering.

This would mean that all souls in their unfoldment throughout the ages finally arrive at the stage where their minds are capable of understanding all the deepest things of life. At the same time the soul can grow and unfold only as the mind, the outer expression of its consciousness, is able to receive and understand what is given it by the Spirit or God-Self.

Here we have three phases of man’s nature—mind, soul and Spirit, which we venture to say only one man in a million clearly understands. Why? Because in this life man has not been carefully taught, trained and made to stay with these three stages of man’s being until all of their true significance and relation one to another have become known.

THE THREE questions forming the title of this article have been asked since the beginning of time. Why is man? Why is he on earth? What is he doing here? Why and what is God? Why was the earth created and out of what? From where or what did man come? Why was he created? Why does he die? Where does he go? What is the purpose of it all? What is the end?

Can you not see? Man must learn the perfect answers to these questions. Else why is he here—why was he given a mind that asks these questions? He can learn their answers only with and through the perfect use of his mind and all its powers.
