The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | JUNE 1933
the one who stood nearest, “How am I to know that you are Christ Workers? Prove it.”
The ladies looked at each other and appeared confused, and were unable to find words to reply. This confusion I interpreted as proof that they were imposters, and standing up on the bed again waving my arms I said, “Out with you all!” While waving my arms I brushed against the flowers that were held in front of me. The woman said, “Be careful, they are porcelain and you will break off their buds.” This statement convinced me that they were not Christ Workers, otherwise they would have carried real flowers; and once more I pointed to the door, saying, “Go, I will not have any of you here!” They started backing out in confusion and were gone.
Shortly after that I found myself in space seeing nothing but specks of blue light and here and there a larger speck of brighter light the size of a golf ball; sometimes my interest in such would draw me nearer to it, and once I waited hoping that it would open and reveal itself to me, but it didn’t. Soon after that I experienced a dizzy feeling and I knew that I came back in contact with my body.
Being awake, and now back again in my brain mind’s consciousness, I could clearly perceive the difference between the outer and the inner life. I resolved consciously to go over my inner house again thoroughly, and with the aid of my Higher Self to get rid of all useless thought-forms, and especially of those negative emotional qualities that had nearly caught me napping; and also to get better acquainted with the Christ Power that I had found was ever back of and within me, ready to help in my need.
