He replied, “Yes, very soon you will witness a thorough house-cleaning all over the world. All your crooked politicians, judges, lawyers, ministers and false prophets shall be killed. Your sky-scrapers shall come down. Wall Street shall be leveled. Your churches shall be laid in ruins, and shall never be rebuilt.”

I said, “Do you mean that God will destroy His churches?” A dark look came over his face as he answered,

“God has no churches. God is not in your present day churches. Your churches of today are only places of refuge for the slick and wily—your crooked judges, lawyers, doctors, and others in the same category—to hide their dirty deeds under the cloak of Christianity. Your ministers do not preach the word of God today, but lead the people farther and farther away from the beautiful teachings of Jesus Christ.”

I said, “Are there to be no churches left?” He said, “Yes—only your churches of Truth.”

I asked, “What do you mean by Truth?” He pointed to The Way to the Kingdom Papers and The Impersonal Life, and answered,

“There is the Truth and the only Truth that will ever set you free.” He went on to say that in the near future there would be no need for churches. He stated that in less than twenty years we would not be using money as a medium of exchange; that it would be abolished altogether. He also stated that radios would no longer be in use, for people would be able to tune in within themselves, and be able to hear any program that might be on the air.

(I know this will be possible, as I have accomplished it myself. On several occasions, while in a deep consciousness, I heard beautiful music. It was beyond comparison with any music I ever heard over the radio. On another occasion, I heard a female quartet singing “Nearer My God to Thee.” I have heard this hymn many times by different types of voices, but never as I heard it while in the Silence.)

He also stated that we had too many laws, but no justice. I asked him if we would have another war. He said, “Yes, and this will be the last war.”

“Will the United States be drawn into this war?” His answer was “Every nation and country will participate in this, the last war.”
