after man had proved to Him that he wanted to and would obey Him always thereafter. This then would naturally mean, that man must suffer until he becomes wise and strong enough spiritually so that Satan can no more deceive him.

Well, that is why God sent Jesus into the world, when humanity had grown spiritual enough to receive Him—to teach man always to serve and obey God, and thereby how to defy Satan. By His words, His works, and His life, Jesus created thought-picture, an ideal, in the minds of men that would grow and unfold in humanity’s consciousness until it would manifest in the lives of individuals from time to time as the “first fruits of them that slept”—those “in whom there is no guile;” so that “when the Prince of the world cometh,” he hath nothing in them.

WE HAVE many times said this is the great testing time, when every soul on earth is being weighed and tried and proven, to make sure who is ready to progress into the next grade waiting. Particularly is this so with those who believe themselves to be followers and disciples of Christ. It would seem that it is upon such disciples that Anti-christ at present is concentrating his most malicious efforts, using every subtle, crafty and most unsuspected way of gaining the confidence of earnest, sincere souls, those inexperienced in guile and even those who consider themselves “advanced,” often completely fooling them and then casting over them a glamour that renders them incapable of judging any longer for themselves.

Such are the ones who become the followers and often the victims of those sects and individuals that under the cloak of religious teaching lead their dupes into various practices and beliefs that soon dull their reasoning powers and hold them bound, mind and soul, until the Great Law releases them.

There are many of such agents of Anti-christ operating consciously and some unconsciously in the world today, each having his hosts of followers, deluded souls that know not their lot, and actually enjoy it, deeming all others ignorant and not aware of what they are missing.”

It behooves every follower of a movement, a teaching or an individual, no matter what or who such may be, to search himself carefully these days and to make sure he is not, through his personal predilections, desires or aspirations, being led to accept
