THE BANKER

WE HAVE a friend who has contributed two remarkable articles for the benefit of THE INNER LIFE readers that were published during the past year, and who is deeply interested in the spiritual meaning of the present economic condition of the world and in determining its cause and remedy.

During the past year we have had considerable correspondence on the subject and he has sent us several articles dictated by one whom he calls “The Banker,” some of which we intend to publish in succeeding issues.

Our friend is one of those fortunate individuals—of whom we feel there will be many like him during the present generation—who is living more or less consciously on two planes of existence at the same time, or in other words, is conscious of another life with its own activities, persons and things in the soul realm, while going about his ordinary activities in the physical world.

Sometime before this particular phase of the economic situation was mentioned, he wrote of living in the soul world seemingly in what he called the “plateau,” an ideal place in spirit where everyone seemed to have everything he needed, including all the comforts of life, with plenty of leisure to do what he liked. For instance, at that time he was living in what appeared to be a great luxurious apartment hotel, where everything was provided, having community restaurants, gardens, tennis courts, bathing pools, billiard rooms, library, etc.; in fact a beautiful and ideal place for one seeking such an environment and life—and all provided without the need or use of money.

In October, 1932, he wrote us the following letter, which quite fully introduces the subject, one which we feel will prove of vital interest to all our readers and, before we get through, highly illuminating and instructive to everyone who would like to bring down from spirit the ability to live, have and do on earth what all are living, having—or perhaps more properly, using—and doing on the plateau.

The articles inspired by “The Banker” which will follow, we promise before they are finished will not only clearly explain how this can be done by everyone who will comply with the conditions,
