The purpose of this article is to inspire as many as possible with the vital importance and far-reaching effect of this special work, and to see how many will volunteer for it.

Only the truly in earnest ones are ready for it, those who have really dedicated themselves to Christ and the Brotherhood’s Service, and who are willing and anxious to serve where they can do the most good. All others will have some excuse to offer why they cannot do it.

They do not realize that their Brothers in Spirit are working in this particular field continually, and that many servers on earth are already helping Them at night when their bodies are asleep, rescuing many souls from the forces of darkness. This is one of the most important departments of Their work at present.

It is of course all inner work, and is what all Inner Workers volunteered to do; but it can be done only by practiced Workers, those who can make themselves do what they see and know can be done wherever there is a need.

We will point out to them in special letters plenty of such work from time to time, with helpful suggestions how to do it. And never doubt that you will be given all the assistance you need by your Brothers in Spirit, once you show your earnestness and that you are capable of working with Them.

Write us early, and in your letter tell us how many others will work with you, giving their names and addresses; when we will send them copies of the special instructions.

“When I read your June article on Inner Workers, it dawned on me quite forcibly that it was just what I had been doing—and seeing it work.

“I have visualized Christ in the midst of rough talkers under my window; I have seen Him send children along who were shouting when a sick one was trying to rest; I have seen Him with one convulsed with pain, when a look of peace came to that one; I have seen Him in the center of a disorderly house,
