The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | SEPTEMBER 1934

(4) To have an unfaltering love for and trust in our Father God.

These four essentials are clearly taught in THE WAY OUT Course and are amplified greatly in THE WAY BEYOND Course, but are carried to their widest understanding, application and use in the Impersonal Lessons. The great truths in these Courses, when made a part of the consciousness, not only provide the mental and spiritual foundation upon which to build your Spiritual life, but equip you for conscious work in the Master’s Service.

We believe that all who have a real acquaintance with the books and especially with the teachings issued by The Sun Center, sense that it is different from the many other movements fostered by personalities seeking to build a name and following for themselves. In fact, it is those who sensed this and who have satisfied themselves of its truth, who have found the Kingdom and who from its consciousness have become the real workers with us in the Christ Cause.

Therefore, all who read and who likewise sense this truth and wish to become active workers in that Cause, are hereby provided the opportunity of preparing and equipping themselves for the inner work that will shortly be given. Being inner work, let no one fool himself into believing it can be done without thorough preparation and sufficient mental and spiritual equipment. Anyone attempting it without such will soon find this out for himself.

To give you an idea of the nature of the preparation needed, every reader of these words is requested to prove to himself his sincerity by making a careful study of the June and August Editorials and the article in this issue on “The Inner World of Mind.” Until the ability to follow and do all that is required therein is thoroughly mastered, you are not ready to do the work that will be allotted. Therefore this test is given you to enable you to determine your fitness for such Work.

We will be glad to hear from everyone earnestly seeking to participate with us in this Work and who is willing to follow with us all the way until it brings him into conscious cooperation with our Brothers in Christ, the Great Ones in Spirit Who are back of, helping and directing this Work.
