FROM certain experiences since contacting The Impersonal Life a few months ago I feel that I am beginning to find my way back to my Father’s House. The book came to me just when I needed it the most, and uncovered to me rich treasures which other teachers had only hinted at.

About six weeks ago I had a vivid dream, in which I was standing on the forward end of the upper deck of a large ship, and looking down on the main deck below I saw a man whose figure seemed familiar, but whose face I could not see on account of his back being towards me. This man approached the rail and after a little hesitation jumped into the sea. After a moment the body came to the surface face upward, and I recognized it as my own. I watched the body slowly drift towards the stern, when it was caught by the rapidly revolving propeller and shot far out to sea.

Two weeks ago, while meditating on The Impersonal Life, I had a vision of a newborn babe held in arms. Only the arms and bosom of the one holding it were visible. The babe was asleep with eyes closed, contented expression on its face. I gazed at it admiringly and was turning away when on impulse I turned back and looked at it again with love and a strong desire to take it in my arms; but I hesitated to disturb its sleep, and then the vision faded.

We are glad you are getting so much help and inspiration from the Lessons and that they are making more clear to you the great truths of THE IMPERSONAL LIFE.

With regard to your dreams, in the first one the man on the upper deck was the real you, or your soul, looking down as it were from its higher consciousness at your human self, and there saw that it now realizes that it must willingly and trustingly plunge into the ocean of life and allow it to send it where and do with it what it wills, and it must no longer hinder with its selfish desires and will.

This means that you are now getting a glimpse of the real meaning and purpose of life, and have indeed started on the return journey back to your Father’s House.

The new born babe was the Christ Child that while now asleep will soon wake up and you will take it into your arms and into your life, and you will then feel it as a Great Love in your heart. This is proved by your turning back and looking at it with love and such strong desire to take it in your arms.
