they want their minds to have. Also because there are many more thousands who instinctively rebel at some of the conclusions of these various teachings, and for whom there is no authority or place to turn for a satisfactory explanation of the experiences of an inner nature that are coming to them with increasing evidence that they contain for them definite and vital meanings.

Then there are the many thousands in these different Movements themselves who feel that there are higher and truer meanings of what they are experiencing than are given in their teachings, and who will welcome the truths for the first time so fully and plainly given in this treatise.

What is stated herein is evolved out of actual experience, but the reader is not asked to accept it as true unless it satisfies the reason and that inner knowing which is the heritage of every awakened soul. It is urged that no one discard anything that is stated, however, without giving it deep consideration and hearing all that is said on the subject.

Everything that is stated naturally pertains to an inner world, a fourth dimension not provable through the use of the five senses. Pure logic and analogy alone can be used to verify much that is advanced; but better than this many will find herein evidences of similar experiences to their own with explanations given which something within them will immediately accept as true. The reader will understand the reason for this when he learns what the soul is and the purpose of these experiences, all of which will be made clear in the course of the work.

Finally, there will be many things stated herein that will give scientific explanations of certain facts of nature
