THE STORY OF MARAH

IN WHAT follows will be found confirmation of what was stated in the article in the March issue on Automatic Writing, showing that those of a spiritual nature in the inner realms, even as those in the outer, are ever endeavoring to help all who are seeking the true Light and wishing to prepare themselves for service.

We quote from the article: “In exceptional cases when the student is of an unusual type that can be taught best and be prepared for the giving out of special teaching through Automatic Writing, where the actual words can be given, such method is used by disciples of the Great Ones of the Brotherhood. But usually it gives way later to direct inspiration.”

The little group to which this experience came lives in New Zealand. They are earnest students of The Impersonal Work, and the desire to serve is pre-eminent in their minds. They have evidently attracted to them helpers of a high type—“Light Bearers,” who give an idea of the quality of their teachings and of their nature and purpose when saying they will discontinue from that day to give any more teachings through writing.—Editor.

INTRODUCTION

Question. Who is present please? (Faith senses Peter’s presence.)

Peter. Yes, Peter; and after today you will have no more writings from Light Bearers. All will henceforth come through our inspiring your minds. Watch and try to detect the thoughts we send. But you may get writings from the other planes.

Q. Will you please explain?

Peter. There are some who may invite or who desire your aid—souls in the inner realms. We ask you to sit in the Silence at a given hour each day for the purpose of helping such souls, and to talk to none about it, thus conserving
