The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | AUGUST 1936

there are so, despite anything that appears in order to work with the Law so that it will work with and for him.

We have shown you how you may always know the truth—that anything that is not all good and all perfect is not true, is not as God sees it; and that what man’s eyes see is only what his mind sees and believes is so. Hence what appears to any man appears so only in his mind and it exists only in his mind, not in God’s Mind. Because God created all things good and is in the beginning, and they have always remained so.

That is the great truth that every mind must learn, and it is the only reason for man being here in the flesh in a material world. He must and will eventually give up all his beliefs that this world and all he sees in it are real.

Do you now realize why we have been impressing this great truth—the greatest in the universe—so insistently upon your mind? Only that you will take it to heart—get it down into your subconsciousness, and thus build it into your soul—into your being.

Then what? Listen!

Then that inner world of reality, that world where your soul, the real you, dwells, the world which God created in the beginning and when finished He pronounced “very good,” will be wide open to you, you will see it all about you, for you will be living in it.

For, as stated last month, “that world and all in it, including all men, whom He made in His image and likeness, still exists, unchanged and unalterable; for what God made no man can change in the slightest degree. Which means that within man and within and back of all things that appear to man’s mortal senses is a real world in which continually exist good and perfect things, people and conditions.

That signifies one thing only, that within you, dear reader, within your consciousness, back of and “outside” of your human mind, the real you, the soul of you, dwells in a good and perfect world; and that if in some way you could withdraw your interest and attention entirely from the mis-creations and mis-beliefs of the mind—the things that appear in the outer world, and center them completely on this great truth, then you would be conscious
