IN REGARD to your little boy. If we should tell you that it is not a case of nerves or anything that is in the boy that causes all the accidents, troubles and ills, but that they are due to the thought pictures carried around by his mother in her consciousness, and fed by her fears for the boy that she allows to come in and make her nervous, anxious and worried about him,—try to understand and get the meaning we intend for you. These thought pictures have to outmanifest in some manner, and the boy evidently being very sensitive and your mind being on him all the time, you unconsciously influence him with your worries and fears so that these pictures are transferred to his subconsciousness and sooner or later outmanifest in him physically just as you imagined them.

In other words, if all children could be kept free from mother’s fears and worries about them, they would seldom get sick, have any accidents, ailments or troubles.

YOUR letter received. We are afraid, dear friend, that you are more concerned about things that are to “be added” than you are about being the truths in The Way Out Course a part of your consciousness; because you come back in all your letters and say you have done all the things you are shown to do, but you can see “no change” in your conditions. You are like the little boy who planted some seeds in his mother’s garden, and the next day dug them up to see if they had grown, not giving them a chance to take root.

It is the same with these truths. Until they become rooted in your consciousness they cannot possibly grow and do you any good, and the very fact that you cannot see any change, shows that they have not taken root; because when they have really become your consciousness, you will note a very definite change in outer conditions. Also the very fact that you are so concerned about it proves that you have not eliminated from your consciousness the negative forces and thoughts that prevent the growth by clogging up the channel so that the life forces cannot penetrate through and bring forth the good into manifestation.

You ask how we would handle the problem mentioned. Now listen. We would say to our Loving Father, “Dear Father, You have told us that You know all about the hard conditions we are facing, and that therefore I need not be anxious about them; that if I seek first the Kingdom, or try to abide in Your consciousness, You will take care of everything. I have tried my way and seemingly have done all I can, but I have come to the end of my resources; and now I am ready to let go and give You an opportunity to prove what You can do. Therefore, Father, I place it all in Your hands, and I will try no longer to interfere with my worried, anxious, fearful thoughts, and will take You at Your word and trust You implicitly. I believe You can do anything for me, if I get out of the way. Take me now, all that I am, all that I have with my puny powers, and tell me to do whatever You want me
