into its consciousness in all Its pristine purity and to reflect Itself perfectly in the Soul’s outer extension of itself—the human mind.
Only casual study shows that there are Souls in all stages of evolution or unfoldment, the vast majority being still close to the outer or physical stages of consciousness, having not yet evolved from the influence of their animal appetites, desires and lusts. While almost an equal number are ruled by their emotions, feelings and passions, which also help to hold them to the physical or animal side of their natures. The mental and intellectual sides influence a much lesser number; while only a comparatively few are wholly guided and led by the Divine Spirit within them.
It is the observance of these facts that causes the student to search for the true beginning of the soul or the birth of that consciousness which constitutes man. And the result of that search among ancient and modern philosophies and religions, in an effort to reconcile their various concepts and theories of the origin of the Soul, none of which fully satisfies the reason, brings forth from the source of all wisdom—Divine Mind—what is now offered to all human minds hungering for truth, in the following explanation of the Soul’s origin, constitution, development, its place and purpose in the scheme of life, and its final destiny, when its work on the planet earth is completed.
This may seem a large undertaking, but the reader must judge for himself—after a careful study of and meditation upon what is offered—whether it really explains and altogether satisfies both the reason and his own Soul’s understanding of itself.
